News bites: May 11

There’s a lot of fashion news floating around the web again, with news of more celebrities dabbling in design or fronting advertising campaigns. Here’s some of top stories from the last 24 hours:

  • Sienna and Savannah Miller are planning a September launch for their Notting Hill store which will house their fashion line, Twenty8Twelve by s.miller. The collection comprises of empire line smock dresses, skinny jeans, silk tops and tailored wool blazers. Pieces will retail from about US$75 for a silk jersey tank to US$650 for a leather jacket. The first picture of the Dickensian London by way of Patti Smith inspired collection can be seen above – which I first posted about on CatwalkQueen earlier this week.
  • Beyonce Knowles didn’t make it to the Costume Institutes’s night of nights, the MET Ball, but it has been announced that she will be the face and the voice of the new Armani fragrance. The new fragrance will be called Emporio Armani Diamonds, and is due out this fall.
  • Remembering Isabella Blow… the funeral service for the eccentric fashion stylist will take place on Tuesday, at the same church in which she married her husband 18 years ago. I wonder how many people in the fashion world will be there…
