Penelope and Monica Cruz to design a collection for Mango
Penelope Cruz and her younger sister, Monica (both pictured right), have announced that they will design a 25-piece collection, including accessories, for the Spanish chain Mango.
The WWD reports that the pair will also be the new faces of the retailer’s fall-winter 2007 advertising campaign.
The collection won’t just bare their face and have no real input from the sisters either.
“I select every item, color and size myself. It’s a reflection of my taste and what I wear. There is a mix of casual fashion, a few party dresses and accessories at decent prices,” Penelope says.
Mango approached the Cruz sisters in their attempt to expand their presence in the U.S.
he Cruz sisters follow in the footsteps of model, actress and fashion designer, Milla Jovovich, whose Spring/Summer 2007 collection for Mango is in stores now.
