Jayson Brunsdon, a UNICEF Australia Goodwill Ambassador

He’s one of Australia’s high profile designers as well as the former creative director for fellow Australian brand, Morrissey. Jayson Brunsdon can now call himself a UNICEF Australia Goodwill Ambassador as well.

Brunsdon said, “I am honoured to be appointed a UNICEF Australia Goodwill Ambassador and to be able to publicly demonstrate my support for children’s humanitarian causes.

“I was drawn to UNICEF because it works on behalf of children on the basis of need without discrimination (it has no political, racial or religious affiliations) and its sole objective is to ensure every child’s right to survival, healthcare, education and protection, is upheld.

“I am proud to be part of the 2007 UNICEF Designers United campaign that aims to raise funds to help children adversely impacted by HIV/AIDS,” Brundson said.

He will join high profile celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, David Beckham, Elle MacPherson, Roger Federer and Jemima Khan, who use their public profiles to enhance public awareness of UNICEF’s work internationally.

Jayson Brunsdon will be showing his spring summer 2008 collection at Australian Fashion Week, stay tuned to SASSYBELLA.com for reports from the show.
