RAFW SS08 – The calm before the storm

Want to know how everything changes for fashion week? Well this is what Circular Quay looks like on a sunny autumn Sunday afternoon. On the left is the Museum of Contemporary Art, where Dita von Teese will be performing her Lipteese show tomorrow night. If we keep walking straight, we’ll soon get to the tents where all the action happens.

This is the venue for Australian Fashion Week Spring Summer 2007. Welcome to the International Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in Sydney. Doesn’t it look beautiful with the sun shining and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background?
Well as of 10am this morning, it will be filled with people, from media folk, designers, backstage crew and most importantly, buyers from all around the world.

This is the calm before the storm. Stay tuned for more updates on Australia Fashion Week spring summer 2008.
