Stella McCartney launches her Adidas yoga range

For her Spring Summer 07 collaboration with Adidas, Stella McCartney is branching into Yoga wear. With friends like Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna being Yoga fanatics you would have thought she would have done so sooner. No doubt that those two stylish women (well maybe more Gwyneth than Madonna) are huge fans of Stella’s stylish, relaxed and functional sportswear range.
The Stella McCartney “Gym Yoga” spring/summer 2007 collection was inspired by ballet and dance, and features double-layered tank tops with deep necklines, low-waisted skinny trousers and lightweight rubber shoes. With pieces that feature ruching, deep necklines and low waists, Stella is definitely taking Yoga wear to a new level.
“I am so proud that this collaboration continues to grow with the introduction of yoga as a new highlight within the gym category,” said Stella. “I am thrilled that each season we are able to merge more and more performance products with style.”
Another new collection to released with the fifth Stella for Adidas collection is the tennis collection. Worn by tennis player, Maria Kirilenko on court, the pieces feature high-waisted pleated dresses, collar executions and pleating details.
The colours used through the collection redefines once more traditional sports colors through the introduction of the muted delicate seed pearl, metallic silver shades and white alongside strong pink shades and bright reddish melon or the yellow calvi.
New collection will be available in Adidas stores and selected retailers later this month.
