Yes Aussie fashionistas, Australian Target has secured a rare and extremely exclusive deal for you with Stella McCartney.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Stella created a limited-edition, 42-piece collection for Target stores – an example of which is pictured above.
“I love Australians. I think Cate Blanchett is stunning and we use Gemma Ward in our shows,” McCartney said.
Her creative team jokingly tossed around the idea of ads featuring Nicole, Kylie, Cate and Gemma in the clothes at the Opera House, with Russell Crowe playing guitar.
Instead the soon-to-appear ads were shot in London by her photographer sister Mary McCartney Donald.
The Stella McCartney for Target Australia collection will include a trench coat, tailored jacket and pants, shirts, a day dress and an embroidered cocktail frock.
She hopes that the pieces from the collection would be “something you want to keep forever”. With prices in the 42-piece collection ranging from $39.99 for a T-shirt to $199.99 for a trench coat, you never know.
The full range will be unveiled next month at the 2007 L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, with the collection going on sale in selected Target Australia stores on March 12.
If this is anything like her collection for H&M – which had people queuing up days before hand, I’d start packing my sleeping bag!
And this comes on the back of Stella McCartney for LeSportsac announcement – boy is Stella and her design team going to be very busy over the next few weeks!EDIT MAR 5 – MORE PHOTOS HERE]
