Seven for all David Yurman

After the success of the Zac Posen for Seven For All Mankind collection last year and Azzadeine Alaia in fall 2006, one of my favourite denim labels have lined up another designer to be part of their latest collaboration.

This time around, Seven For All Mankind designers, Jerome Dahan and Michael Glasser, have chosen to team with Evan Yurman (pictured right) for a limited edition collection with the budding jewellery designer.

Yurman has been designing men’s jewellery since he was 14, and not just because he is the son of jewellery legends David and Sybil Yurman. He officially joined the family business in 2003, and is now the company’s head design for men’s jewellery with his line growing from a small collection of cufflinks, watches and rings, to a fashion collection that includes titanium bracelets, dinosaur stone rings and more.

It should be interesting to see how he incorporates his jewellery talents with the denim brand that brought the focus back on to the jean back pocket.

I like the fact that David Yurman is branching out into men’s designs now. They are concentrating on these designs more than ever before, and you can really tell with the new look.
