Most women would strip for designer wear, and Carolyn Murphy, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore, Dita Von Teese and Selma Blair (pictured right) are no different. They’re taking off their stylish clothes for a Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy photo shoot.
The photos from the photo shoot will be auctioned off at Marc Jacobs’ post-runway show party in September for the University School of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group.
The images also will grace T-shirts featuring a slogan that warns against skin cancer.
Apparently Marc and Robert got every woman they wanted, except one.
“Every single person I asked said yes, except for Hilary Swank,” said Robert. “But I am still working on her to try to convince her. I refuse to give up.”
The plan was hatched as a tribute to NYU physician Jessie Rubin, who recently died, whose daughter Francine Prose is a friend of Duffy’s.
