Haute Couture Fall 2006 – Armani Prive

When the Haute Couture season rolls around, I never know what to expect. There are always the stunning gowns but then there are the eccentricities that come along with it – think Viktor & Rolf when they sent models out on to the catwalk in walking beds.

The stand out collection so far is Armani Prive. It’s standing out as the best collection in the entire Armani line.

Giorgio took everyday wear and took it to a new glamourous level, adding richer fabrics, classic techniques, touches of draping and pleating. The collection has that old style Hollywood glamour that will always make a girl look like a princess. You could channel Princess Grace of Monaco with the beautiful suits, and wear the gowns she could have worn to official balls or in a movie.

The hats, headpieces and accessories are just the piece de la resistance.
