Black Friday Blogging: Thursday

I’m a little late, but thanks to Julie, I’m a going to be blogging about the fashion, consumption, shopping, and the politics of Black Friday (Friday 25th, biggest shopping day in America). Visit http://almostgirl.coffeespoons.org for the full list of Black Friday bloggers.

The working world and fashion I have gotten into a bit of the rhythm now that I am parting of the working “world”. I get on the bus, off the bus, walk to the train station, hop on the train, off again and then go to work. While being part of the working world now, I can’t seem to blend in (it could have something to do with the fact that my work ‘uniform’ is jeans and a pretty top, with my Chloe bag resting on my arm). Then again it’s not because of my work attire though. I because don’t go to work dressed in a business suit and sneakers. Sneakers and a suit? I loath that look, and have always loathed that look for as long as I can remember. Don’t people know that there are such things as comfortable heels these days? Or at least some decent looking comfortable casual shoes they could wear instead. For people who spend half their lives behind their desk, you would think they would want to look nice the rest of the time they’re not in the office.
